Description
The White Horse Inn is a public house formed from two attached dwellings of different styles, dating from the 18th century, with early 19th-century rear wings. The building features walls of painted brickwork in Flemish bond and has cambered openings on the ground floor. The roof is half-hipped and tiled, with two levels; the south side has brick dentil eaves, two small hipped dormers positioned high, and a catslide at the rear, while the north side also has a catslide at the rear.
The west front elevation is taller and symmetrical on the south side, consisting of two storeys and an attic with three windows (the centre window is filled). The north side has two storeys and two windows. The windows are casements, including a large splayed bay with three sashes on the north side. There are two plain doorways. The rear elevation features a tall staircase wing with a hipped roof and a filled mullion and transom wood frame of a window, which has been replaced by a sash on the side.
