Description
Cherwell Cottage Surgery is a house and surgery, formerly a chemist's shop, dating from the 18th century, with alterations made in the 20th century. The building features walls of brickwork with blue headers and red quoins, as well as rubbed flat arches. The south side is constructed in Flemish bond with blue headers. It has a hipped tile roof at the south end. The symmetrical east front elevation consists of two storeys with three windows, although the center is blank, and there is a south side extension with one window. The windows are sashes in exposed frames. The doorway is adorned with a pediment on brackets, an architrave, and a 20th-century five-panelled door. The south side includes a wide porch that encloses three windows and a doorway, which was converted from a shopfront in the late 20th century.
