Description

Stedham House is an early 19th-century house. It has stucco walls with a plinth and slender end pilasters topped by console brackets. The ground-floor windows have cornices on small console brackets, and the upper windows are flanked by similar brackets. The roof is tiled, with two smaller, flat-roofed dormers. The symmetrical west front elevation is of two storeys and an attic, with two windows. It has sash windows in reveals. A porch of Greek Order design features a cornice with small coupled modillions, two pilasters, and two columns with exaggerated Doric caps, all supporting an architrave, which frames a 6-panelled door with two glazed panels at the top.
