Description
The premises occupied by "Plain-n-Fancy" and Norman Mitchell, both furniture shops, is a single building originally listed as Denman's Furniture Shop. It dates from the 17th century or earlier and features a timber-framed structure with exposed timbering and red brick infilling on the north wall, although it has been refronted with red brick. The building has a parapet and a tiled roof, with modern shop fronts. The original glazing bars remain intact above the shop fronts. The building has two storeys and an attic, with three windows, one of which is blacked out, and one dormer.
