Description
The farm building at Midgeley Gate Farm is a late 17th-century structure that originally served as a dwelling or a farm building with accommodation above. It has undergone significant alterations over the years. The building is constructed of red squared gritstone rubble and features a graded grey slate roof.
On the west gable, there are blocked three-light and two-light windows with flush bevelled mullions. The cartshed doorway is topped with an unwrought oak lintel. The stable and hayloft do not have any notable features. This building is listed primarily for its group value.
