Description
This building is a shippon, dating from 1736, which has been altered and likely extended later. It is constructed of red and buff coursed gritstone rubble and features a gabled roof made of Kerridge stone-slate. The structure has two storeys and includes boarded doors as well as pitch-hole doors, all set under stone lintels. There are 20th-century timber hopper windows. A datestone above a former doorway reads "GGMG 1736." In the right half of the building, a wide, blocked segmental-arched opening between two thick stone crosswalls suggests the presence of a former threshing floor. The building is listed for its group value.
