Description
The barn east of Allgreave Farmhouse is likely from the early 18th century and has been altered. It is constructed of red and grey coursed gritstone rubble, with the left portion featuring a Kerridge stone-slate roof, while the main roof has been replaced with corrugated asbestos. The front wall includes loophole ventilators and boarded doors set under stone lintels. Inside, there are oak queen-strut trusses. A stone with roughly carved initials G.M.G. can be found, similar to those on the farmhouse. This building is listed for its group value.
