Description
Hangingstone Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the late 17th century, with later alterations. It is constructed of rough-faced coursed stone, featuring quoins and dressings, and has a stone slate roof with verge parapets and end stacks. The building has an end lobby-entry plan and is two stories high, with a four-window front. The first floor has continuous labels over 2-light chamfer mullioned windows, although the two inner windows are now without mullions. On the ground floor, there are two labeled 19th-century casements, which are separated by an inserted mid-19th-century door located to the right of center. The entrance, set to the left of the building, features a stepped label over a massive 17th-century lintel and a boarded door.
