Description

This is a cottage dating from the 18th century, located approximately 20 yards south-west of The Nook in Waterhouses. The building is constructed from coursed and squared rubble, featuring ashlar quoins and dressings, and has a plain tile roof with rubble integral end stacks. It is oriented east-west and faces south, with an extension to the west. The cottage is two storeys high and has two bays, each with two-light flat-face mullioned windows. There is an inserted casement window to the left, and all windows are fitted with false external shutters. The central door is sheltered by a lean-to porch. To the left, there is a single-storey, single-bay extension that includes a segmental headed casement window, also with false shutters.
