PARISH OF BASLOW & BUBNELL CHESTERFIELD ROAD SK 27 SE 3/14 NETHER END (South Side) Mile Post at OS260722 II Mile post. Early C19. Cast iron. Circular shaft rising to a cylinder with moulded top and divided into panels by bead mouldings. Inscribed in embossed lettering LONDON and in painted lettering 155. The rest of the information at the time of re-survey had been painted over with white paint. On the Chesterfield to Ashford turnpike of 1812.
