Description
The barn at Rainowlow Farmhouse dates from the 17th century, with 18th-century additions on the left and a 19th-century continuous outshut at the rear. The original section is built of dry stone buff sandstone rubble, featuring projecting through stones, and has a Kerridge stone-slate roof. The remaining structure is made of coursed rubble. This long, low building has an east front that includes a central door with a wooden lintel and a projecting rubble course above it. There are two square pitch holes on either side of the door and a line of ventilation slots. At the right end, there is a second door that has been reduced and now features a 20th-century board door, while the left end has a door beneath a rough stone lintel.
