Description
This is a cottage and attached barn dating from the late 18th century, located east of Dale Cottages on Dale Road in Hartington Town Quarter. The building is constructed of coursed limestone rubble with gritstone dressings and quoins, topped with a plain tile roof. The cottage is two storeys high and consists of a single bay. It features a flush quoined doorcase on the west side, which contains a 19th-century glazed door. To the east, there is a two-light flush mullion window with 20th-century small paned casements, and a similar window is located above it. The attached barn has a plank door on the west side and a lower, partly blocked opening on the east side, with a hayloft opening above. There is also a lean-to addition on the east side.
