Description
Home Farmhouse is an 18th-century farmhouse that has undergone later alterations. It is constructed from coursed squared gritstone with gritstone dressings and quoins. The roof features stone slates on the front and regular slates on the rear pitch, along with stone gable end and ridge stacks, and stone coped gables with moulded kneelers. The building has two storeys and consists of four bays with irregular window arrangements.
On the north side, there is a flush doorcase that has been filled by a 20th-century window. To the south, there is a two-light flush mullion window on either side of another flush doorcase, which now also has a 20th-century window inserted. Further south, there is a flush single light window, a quoined doorcase with a chamfered lintel and a plank door, as well as a 20th-century window under a large lintel. Above, there are three two-light flush mullion windows and an inserted window in a flush surround beneath the eaves on the south side, resulting in a mix of window styles.
