Description

Acorn Cottage is a house dating from the late 18th century, with minor alterations made in the 20th century. It is constructed of coursed squared gritstone, featuring gritstone dressings, quoins, and a plinth. The roof is covered with plain tiles and has a central stone ridge stack, as well as a gable end stack on the west side. The gable on the west is stone coped and has moulded kneelers.

The building is two storeys high and has two bays. There is a flush quoined doorcase with a 20th-century glazed door on the west side. To the east, there are two two-light flush mullion windows, with two similar windows above them. The fenestration is mixed, including plain sashes and fixed small pane lights.
