Description
This is a house located to the north of and adjoining Dene Croft, dating from the 18th century. It is built of coursed rubble limestone with gritstone dressings, featuring flush quoins, coved eaves, and a coped north gable with a moulded kneeler. The house has an intermediate ashlar ridge stack and a north end ridge stack, all topped with a Welsh slate roof.
The building has two storeys and three bays, with 2-light flush mullioned windows that have extended heads and cills, incorporating both sashes and fixed lights, all with glazing bars. The off-centre doorway has a massive quoined surround and a deep lintel, originally featuring a four-panelled door, which now has the upper panels glazed. At the south end, there is a carriage entrance with an arched head made of ashlar gritstone, leading to plain planked double doors.
