Description
Lomberdale Hall Cottage is a cottage and stables, now functioning as a cottage, built in 1851 with later alterations. The structure is made of random limestone rubble with rock-faced gritstone dressings and quoins. It features a slate roof with both single and twin octagonal stone ridge stacks. The building is two storeys high, with a double pile plan and two bays.
On the east elevation, there is a rock-faced quoined doorcase that holds a 20th-century glazed stable door. To the north of this doorcase is a glazing bar sash window set in a rock-faced surround, while to the south is a 20th-century window in a similar surround. Further south, there are steps leading up to another rock-faced doorcase with a 20th-century glazed door. Above, to the north, is a 20th-century casement window in a rock-faced surround, and to the south is another glazing bar sash window with a small hayloft opening beyond. The doorcase on the north elevation has a lintel inscribed with the year '1851'. This building is included for its group value only.
