Description

The guidepost, dating from the mid-18th century, is made of dressed gritstone. It stands approximately one metre tall and has a square section with a larger top section. Each side features a carved hand with a pointing finger, along with the names of local market towns: "Tidswell (sic), Buxton, Winster, and Bakewell."
