Description
Greenlands is a house dating from the early to mid 19th century. It is constructed from coursed and rubble limestone with ashlar sandstone dressings and has a concrete tile roof. The building consists of a single cell, with an outbuilding on the right and a wing at the rear.
The exterior features two storeys and a single-storey outbuilding. It has a plinth and large quoins. The front has a flush six-panel door set in a broad ashlar surround with a dripmould. To the right, there is a window on each floor, featuring projecting stone sills and 2/2 horizontally-sliding sashes in ashlar surrounds, with a dripmould above the ground floor window only. There is an ashlar end stack on the right side. The outbuilding has no openings on the front. On the left side of the house, the windows are similar to those at the front but are offset to the right.
The interior has not been inspected. This house was originally part of a matched pair with Bluebell Cottage, which is also located on Buxton Road.
