Description
Spital Buildings is a late 18th-century water mill that was later used as farm buildings and is now partly derelict. The structure is built of rubble limestone with stone slate roofs and forms three sides around a courtyard. The west and north ranges are single storey, while the east side features a three-storey mill that is now roofless and partially ruinous. The building has nine bays with an off-centre cart entrance, although the wall above this entrance has collapsed. Most of the segmental arched windows are blocked, and there are stable-type doors leading to the lower wings.
