Description
The Mullions is a house built in the late 18th century and refashioned in the early 19th century. It is constructed from coursed rubble gritstone with ashlar dressings, featuring plain eaves, end ridge stacks, and a stone slated roof. The house has a double depth plan.
On the south elevation, it stands two storeys high with two bays. The windows are flush mullioned 2-light windows with pointed heads for each light, and the ground floor has taller openings. The windows are fitted with small-paned cast iron frames, with one opening light. The central doorway has massive jambs and a shallow pointed arch above the lintel soffit, leading to a 20th-century glazed door. An angled two-storey bay with a flat parapet wall has been added to the west corner, featuring two single light openings, with the ground floor opening being larger.
