Description
This is a stone structure, likely a mounting block, topped with a lamp standard. It dates from the 18th and 19th centuries. The base is made of gritstone and consists of two square blocks, with one block sitting on a plinth of squared gritstone blocks. All the blocks have plain overhanging caps, and there are angle stones to protect against damage from cart wheels. The lamp standard is made of cast iron and dates from the 19th century. There is also a metal plaque on the south side that commemorates Queen Elizabeth's Silver Jubilee in 1977.
