Description

Knouchley Farmhouse is a late 18th-century farmhouse constructed from roughcast rubble gritstone, featuring projecting quoins, a plinth band, and bracketed eaves. It has side wall and end wall stacks made of ashlar and a hipped roof covered with stone slates. The east elevation is two storeys high and consists of three bays, with early 19th-century sash windows set in advanced stone frames. The window openings at the south end are blocked and painted to resemble sashes. The central doorway has a six-panelled door with a rectangular overlight, all within a plain stone frame. There is also a stone slated lean-to and a link wall at the north end.
