Description

This is a lectern dovecote located approximately 100 yards east of Biddlestone Home Farm, dating from the 18th century or early 19th century. It is constructed of random rubble with dressed stone quoins and features a corrugated-iron roof. The dovecote is two storeys tall and measures about 20 feet square.

The ground floor includes a segmental-arched entrance leading to a shelter shed. On the first floor, there are two rows of pigeon holes with stone alighting ledges. The roof is mono-pitched. Inside, the dovecote contains brick nesting boxes.
