Description

This gravestone, located approximately 5 yards west of the Church of St. Gregory, was erected in 1906 for Josephine Butler. It is made of sandstone ashlar and features a coped recumbent stone with a relief cross on top, surrounded by a low chamfered wall. Josephine Butler was a significant figure in the women's rights movement and lived at Ewart Park.
