Description
The Davison Mausoleum, located approximately 40 yards south-west of the Church of St. Gregory, is a family mausoleum built in the late 18th century. Constructed from ashlar, it is a low, oblong building featuring a moulded cornice, pedimented gables, and a stone roof.
There are three steps leading down to an iron door at the west end. The east end bears an inscription that reads "Davison of Lanton and Swarland." The mausoleum is enclosed by a low wall with a rounded top, which was formerly topped with railings. The side walls are supported by iron s-curved stanchions.
