Description

Rose Cottage is a house dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century. It is built of hammered sandstone and features a timber porch, with a pantile roof and brick chimney stacks. The house has a two-cell, lobby-entry plan and is two stories high with a front that has two windows. The entrance is an off-centre six-panel door located within a projecting gabled porch, which is flanked by 16-pane sash windows. On the first floor, there are 12-pane sash windows. All windows have painted stone sills and grooved lintels. The house has end stacks and is included for its group value.
