Description
Newholme and Rolyat are a pair of cottages dating from the late 18th century, with alterations made in the 20th century. They are constructed from coursed sandstone rubble and feature a pantile roof with brick stacks. The cottages are two stories high and have a two-window front. The central entrance has paired 20th-century doors, which are flanked by large-pane, two-light horizontal sliding sash windows. On the first floor, there are smaller-pane, two-light horizontal sliding sash windows. All windows have painted stone sills, and the ground floor openings are topped with thin timber lintels. There are stacks at each end of the cottages. These buildings are included for their group value.
