Description
No 4 Martin's Row is a house built in 1836, as indicated by the date on the window lintel along with the initials I and EM. The building is constructed of coursed sandstone featuring neat herringbone tooling, topped with a pantiled roof that has stone coping and a kneeler, along with a brick stack. It has two storeys and an attic, comprising one wide bay and a narrow entrance bay on the left that contains a door with six decorative panels, although the hood above it is missing. Above the door, there is a modern four-pane casement window. Each floor of the main bay has a four-pane sash window, and there is a small fixed light on the right side of the ground floor. A small inserted dormer is present as well. The left end of the building features a large roll-moulded kneeler, broad coping, and a stack.
