Description

The Doric temple, located approximately 200 metres south-east of Nawton Tower, is a garden pavilion built in the 18th century. It is constructed from sandstone ashlar and has a semi-circular shape. A flight of shallow steps leads up to a Doric portico, which features two columns set between antae and is topped with a plain segmental pediment. Inside, the floor is paved with hexagonal stone, and the structure has a hemispherical roof.
