Description
Stanswood House is an early 19th-century farmhouse constructed of yellow brick, with one wall featuring slate hanging and a slate roof. The building is two stories tall and has a three-by-three bay layout. The front of the house includes a central porch that is single-story and pedimented. There is a segmental-headed opening at the front, and the pediment is adorned with a modillioned architrave. The facade features five 12-pane sash windows set beneath segmental rubbed arches. A raised band runs along the first floor, and there is a raised cornice above. The roof is hipped, and ridge stacks are positioned on the return ridges.
