Description

The granary at Hale Farm is a late 18th-century structure. It features a timber frame with weatherboard cladding, which is partly tarred, and stands on three stone staddles. The roof is covered with plain tiles and has a half-hipped design. The building consists of two bays with a loft above. There is a central board door, and the right side has a covered window. Inside, the walls are lined with boards, and there is a ladder leading up to the loft. The roof includes purlins that support staggered rafters, a ridge-piece, and straight wind braces.
