Description

The Old Dame School is a building that has been converted into a pair of cottages. It dates from the early 19th century and is constructed of rendered cob on a brick plinth, topped with a thatched roof. The structure is one and a half stories high and consists of two bays, with wings extending to the rear. It features swept-down hoods supported by posts, positioned above plank doors. Between these doors are 19th-century two-light casement windows that have drip moulds. Above each bay, there is a two-light casement window set in an eyebrow dormer. The roof is half-hipped and has a central ridge stack.
