Description
White Cottage is an 18th-century cottage that has been altered and extended in the 19th and 20th centuries. It is constructed of painted brick and cob, topped with a thatched roof, and features a brick and tile lean-to. The cottage is 1½ storeys high and originally has two wide bays from the 18th century, with a 19th-century bay added to one end and a 20th-century lean-to on the other end, along with a wing at the rear. The 20th-century lean-to on the right-hand bay extends as far as the right of the centre bay. There is a door on the left-hand end, which is an original plank door, located between the bays. The centre bay and the left-hand bay each have two cambered-head 2-light casements. Each bay also features a 2-light eyebrow dormer with side lights. The roof is half-hipped and has stacks above the door and at the left-hand end.
