Description

Lane End is a cottage dating from the 17th century, with alterations made in the 18th century. It features a timber-frame structure with brick infill and a thatched roof. The building is 1 and a half storeys tall and has two bays. On the front, to the left of the center, there is an 18th-century plank door set in a solid frame, and to the right, a two-light leaded casement window. Both are sheltered by a wide open thatched porch supported by rustic timber posts. Each bay contains a two-light leaded casement window, with a similar window located in an eyebrow dormer near the center of the roof. The cottage also has external end stacks that date from the 18th century.
