II
Farmhouse and adjoining barn/byre. Mid or late C18 incorporating late C17 or early C18 farmhouse. Painted incised render with V-jointed painted quoins and eaves cornice on chamfered plinth. Graduated greenslate roof with kneelers to rear; end stone chimney stacks. 2 storeys, 3 bays with L-shaped barn/byre to right, of common roof line. C20 door and sash windows in C19 painted stone surrounds. Rear has panelled door in painted chamfered surround. Sash windows, some in painted chamfered surrounds, others in C19 surrounds, and small chamfered- surround pantry (?) window. Byre has half-plank door and C20 casement window under loft door reached by projecting slate steps. Barn with plank doors. Interior of house has ground floor built-in panelled and pilastered cupboards flanking C20 fireplace. C18 broad stone staircase to rear. External wall of original house now forms internal dividing wall. Rear bedroom has remains of hood and chimney breast of the now removed fireplace from the kitchen below.
