Description

Two market benches are situated to the east of the obelisk in Broughton-in-Furness. Their date is uncertain. They are constructed of dressed stone, with flat stones resting on flat, upright stones; three stones support the bench on the north-east side and two on the south-west side. The benches are placed parallel to one another.
