Description

The gateway to Broughton Tower is a structure likely built in the 19th century. It is made of dressed stone and ashlar, featuring some rock-faced dressings. The gateway has square ashlar piers with Tuscan angle pilasters, and the caps of these piers are topped with ball finials. The flanking walls are angled forward, with the coping raised at the centers above round arches. The cast iron gates have ramped tops and decorative finials.
