Description

Seatle Farmhouse and the attached barn date from the early 18th century and feature stone rubble construction with slate roofs, while the farmhouse is roughcast. The house is two storeys high with four bays, although the second two bays are lower, possibly indicating a later addition. There is a drip course above the first two bays, which is raised over a gabled porch. The windows are sashed with vertical glazing bars and horns, except for the fourth bay, which has casements. The entrance is located between the first and second bays and features a glazed door with a 20th-century timber porch. The entrance to the fourth bay has a lean-to canopy supported by iron posts and a bench. Gable-end stacks are present. To the left, there is a lean-to outbuilding with an open front. The barn projects to the right, featuring a barn entrance on the left return, a cow house entrance, and two drip courses on the gable end, along with a later outshut under a catslide roof on the right return and a lean-to outshut at the rear. The rear of the house has casement windows. The interior, which was not inspected, is noted to have a spice cupboard door inscribed with "CRI 1733", chamfered beams, plank and muntin partitions, and doors and stairs.
