Description
Seatle Hall is a house, probably from the 18th century, located in Staveley-in-Cartmel Field, Broughton. It is constructed of roughcast stone and features a slate roof. The building has two storeys and three bays. The windows are sash style, complete with glazing bars and horns. A gabled porch includes stone benches, and there are gable-end stacks.
At the rear, the ground floor has windows and a stair window with wooden cross-mullions, which are chamfered on the inside, and small-paned glazing with opening lights. The first floor also has sash windows with glazing bars and horns. The entrance is located on the right side of the building.
Inside, the hall features plank and muntin partitions with ovolo-moulded arrises, as well as two-panel doors with latches. The ceilings have chamfered beams and an ovolo-moulded beam, and there is a spice cupboard. The dog-leg stair has square newels and moulded handrails, but no balusters.
