Description
The former school, now a private house and Post Office, was built in 1835 and closed as a school in 1960. It features painted rendered walls with V-jointed sandstone quoins set on a chamfered plinth. The building has a graduated hipped slate roof with stone and rendered chimney stacks. It is 1½ storeys high and consists of 2 bays, built on a slope. There are two plank doors in alternate-block sandstone surrounds, each under keyed friezes. A large central window with glazing bars is round-headed, while sash windows with glazing bars are located in sandstone surrounds at the extreme left and right. The rear of the building has two similar large round-headed windows.
