Description

The Friends' Burial Ground walls, dating from around 1676, are constructed of stone rubble. These walls enclose a semi-circular area, with the wall along the road measuring approximately 45 meters in length and the enclosure reaching about 27 meters at its widest point. At the south end, there is an entrance featuring a wide door set within a porch that has a gabled roof. The lintel above the door is inscribed with the words: "FRIENDS BURIAL GROUND HEIGHT FIRST USED c.1676".
