Description

This is a limekiln dated 1843, as indicated by the inscribed date stone. It is constructed from dressed limestone and brick and has a square shape with sloping sides. The north face features an elliptical arched fire hole, which is topped by the date stone. Inside, the chamber is lined with brick.
