Description
The gatepiers and overthrow located to the south of the Church of St Paul were likely built in the mid-18th century. They are made of ashlar stone and feature wrought iron elements. The square piers have decorative relief panels on their south sides and on the frieze of the top entablatures. The caps of the piers are topped with pineapple finials. There is a twisted iron overthrow that includes a lantern. The gates, which are paired, were enriched in the late 20th century.
