Description

Newton Hall is a house dating from 1754, as indicated by a panel above the entrance. It is constructed of roughcast stone with a slate roof. The house has two storeys and is arranged with three bays. The windows are sash windows with thick glazing bars and old glass. The central entrance is distinguished by a keyed, rusticated flat arch and jambs, surmounted by a consoled pediment. The door itself has six decorative fielded panels. Gable-end stacks are present. The rear elevation features a gabled wing and some windows with small-paned fixed glazing accompanied by opening lights. A gabled canopy shelters the rear entrance. The interior has not been inspected, but likely contains panelling.
