Description
High Scorecrag Farmhouse, built around 1600, features white-washed stone rubble and a slate roof, standing two storeys tall. The entrance includes a door with Gothic tracery and a non-opening 6-paned window, all sheltered by a lean-to porch supported by thick stone walls. To the left of the porch is an 8-paned sash window. The upper floor has three windows, with two 6-paned sashes set in half-dormers. A chimney is located at the left end of the building. There are bee-boles on the left side beneath a small lean-to roof. Attached to the farmhouse is a lower stone rubble barn and stables to the right, built at right angles and forming an L shape, constructed from dry stone walling. The interior reportedly contains a cupboard dated 1714.
