Description

Town Foot Farmhouse is a 17th-century building located on rising ground in Troutbeck Village. It features very thick stone rubble walls that are white-washed. The gable end, which is at the lowest point by the roadside, has three storeys. The ground floor includes a central door flanked by two small shippon windows, while the first and second floors each have two small windows that are deeply set, with three slate dripstones running across the entire width. The north side of the farmhouse has a catslide roof that creates a porch entrance in the middle and features a three-light wood-mullioned window. The south front is adorned with three square windows on each floor. For additional context, refer to the general group description for Troutbeck Village.
