Description

The outbuilding to the south of Low House is a structure that dates back to the 16th century and was originally a farmhouse. It is built of stone rubble and features an old roof made of graded slates, with two low storeys. The building includes a two-storeyed gabled porch and remnants of wood mullioned windows. There is a gabled wing that has an external chimney stack, while the south wing is lower in height. Inside, the outbuilding is said to contain an original staircase with turned balusters and moulded wood partitions. Currently, it is used solely for farm storage. For additional context, refer to the general group description under Troutbeck Village.
