Description
Woodhouse and the adjoining barn is a farmhouse and barn dating from the early 17th century, with some alterations made in the 19th century. The house features a rendered front wall, while the other walls are made of a mix of limestone and cobble rubble. It has a Welsh slate roof with stone and brick chimney stacks. The building is two storeys high and consists of three bays, with a barn extension at the rear that creates an overall T-shape. There is a 20th-century door on the left side, and the ground floor includes chamfered stone-mullioned windows. The upper-floor windows retain some original surrounds, although the stone mullions have been removed. At the rear, there is a glazed 20th-century porch. The barn has plank doors and lofts. Inside the house, there is a built-in court cupboard with panelled doors that bears a faintly incised date of 1616. The adjoining barn or byre to the right of the house is not of particular interest.
