Description
The stable block at Holnicote House, now used as a store, dates from the 18th century. It is constructed with rendered rubble and features exposed red sandstone quoins. The building has a hipped slate roof with overhanging eaves that have sprockets.
The stable block is two storeys high, with a loft above the stables. On the first floor, there are semicircular headed casements with rusticated surrounds, flanking leaded oeil-de-boeuf windows. The ground floor has two segmental headed windows, which are blocked in their lower portions, with rusticated jambs. These flank a central doorway that also has rusticated jambs and a segmental headed relieving arch. A flat-roofed porch supported by shaped brackets leads to a renewed double door. The stables are associated with Holnicote House, which is not included in this listing.
