4/120 Keeper's Cottage

  • GV II Lodge to Holnicote House (not included) enlarged to 2 dwellings. Early Cl9, probably enlarged late C19. Red sandstone random rubble, plain clay tiled roof half hipped south-east gable, pyramid roof north-east bay, large stone stack centre of original range on north front. Plan: 2-cell enlarged with parallel range of 2 cells on south side. Two storeys, 2 bays, east front 2-light casements, entrance in corrugated iron roofed porch centre, plank door, set in angle with full height canted bay left, diagonal butt joint on left hand bay indicating earlier lean-to addition. North front lit only ground floor. Panelled reveals to windows of original block. Listed primarily for group value with Stratford Cottage to east.
